Industrial Standards
Developers, manufacturers and users of machines must adhere to standards and guidelines. As a rule, this is the only way in which they can guarantee the safe condition and safe use of their components and systems.
Dealing with these standards is not easy, however since the standards have been devised for different areas of application. It is not uncommon for contradictions to arise making it difficult for users to find their way.
In each case, both manufacturer and user have to supply a certificate of conformity confirming the adherence to the relevant standards.
Below are some examples of standards frequently used in safety technology:
IEC 61508
Functional safety of electrical/electronic/programmable electronic safety-related systems
- Comprehensive standard of safety technology
- Organizational measures and technical principles
EN ISO 13849
Safte of machinery – Safety-related parts of control systems
EN 62061
Safety of machinery; Functional safety of electrical, electronic and programmable electronic control systems
EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129
Series of standards for railway applications
IEC 61511
Functional safety – Safety-instrumented systems for the process industry sector
- Installation of safety products and systems
- Combination of components of different SIL classes
- Applications for Plants
ISO 26262
Road vehicles – Functional safety
ISO 25119 / EN 16590
Tractors and machinery for agriculture and foresty
DO 178B / ED12B
Standard for software considerations in airborne systems and equipment
EN 60204
Safety of machinery – Electrical equipment of machines
EN 61496-1
Safety of machinery – Electro-sensivitive protective equipment

The fight against the spread of the Coronavirus
Unfortunately, the Coronavirus Corvid-19 is spreading rapidly around the world. Business trips are almost impossible. Many companies have instructed their employees to do home office or they prohibit meetings and workshops. innotec has been working successfully with its own employees in the home office concept for many years and has also many years of experience to implement projects from afar by using internet services. This also reduces travel costs and CO2 emissions.
